Functional Pottery
All our functional pottery is intended for use.
It is food-safe (glazes are lead-free) and may be used in a microwave or
dishwasher. Our kitchen is filled with pottery that has endured many
years of hard use. LightWave functional pottery is fired to 2250 degrees
and is very durable. I make all my glazes and am continually doing glaze
research to develop new ones. This is a slow process but also very rewarding.
My glazes are unique, they exist nowhere else in the world. |
